That is not normal. My father is a serial cheater, for years he had cheated on my mom 12 times that she knows of. Not counting his one mistress. His doctor blamed it on hyper-sexuality caused by his schizoaffective disorder. The doctor claimed my dad had no idea what he was doing, which to me is a load of bullshit. My dad had two children out of wedlock. One older than me and one about 16 years younger than me.
