Clozapine has really helped my son. However, after taking it several years he suffered OCD as a side effect. The OCD made it difficult for him to speak more than a couple of words at a time. The Dr had him slowly go off of it and the OCD symptoms went away. He has now on a low dose of clozapine along w Risperdal consta. This is not as effective as just being on a higher dose of clozapine.
Has anyone else had ocd side effects due to clozapine? If so, has anyone found something to
Offset the ocd symptoms caused from the clozapine ?

My son has OCD with Abilify . I am not sure if its the meds or part of schizophrenia
