Join now and Ask Danny Lee about Leading Student Mental Health Advocacy

From IMRHO / Brendan Staglin:

When I first developed schizophrenia, I was a college sophomore. In fact, in the general population, psychiatric illness, particularly schizophrenia, tends to strike just as a young person is emerging into adulthood. In 1990, there were not many social resources in my college community to help me cope. However, I am happy for the sake of young people developing mental illness today to see that picture changing. Organizations such as USC’s Free Minds United offer students outlets to express their experiences with mental illness in an open, welcoming environment. This month on Brain Waves I feature Danny Lee, a brave USC student who co-founded Free Minds United. Danny shares what inspired him to help his community in this way and what impact Free Minds has had.

Watch Mr. Lee’s interview, and from today, Wednesday, April 23 through Friday, April 25, you can sign in and ask Danny any questions you may have.
