I am at a loss. My son is level two autism. My son was doing well functioning. She turned 12 years old and started puberty and it was an onset of the schizophrenic gene that was dormant. Over the past year we have done sleep studies MRIs FAs tried respiral Seroquel. Nothing helped with his auditory hallucinations and psychosis until we upped his Seroquel to 400 mg. The past 3 months has been manageable and I got pieces of my son back. I woke up 5 days ago to a nightmare. It’s like the Seroquel has completely stopped working. What is worse he hears voices constantly and every hour he is having a schizophrenic episode Battle in his head screaming crying. I have tried multiple times getting a hold of his psychiatrist with no lock. Doing a 1013 or Is institutionalizing him is not an option. He has been through a lot and that will traumatize him more than any medication will ever help him. Has anyone else had any issues like this before. Signed a desperate heartbroken mom.

I’m so sorry this is happening to you and your son he is so young!
Try to find either an online NAMI support group or an in-person group that is specifically for parents of children.
The options are different for children and you will want to have contact with people that are in your situation.
I am so sorry, I hope you can find a way to get some sort of advice that helps.

That’s a great idea hope,
I actually just saw a bunch of nami support groups for parents of children under 21 on heypeers.com
When I was looking for a group they are virtual and there are many time slots
