Can taking the wrong prescription drugs cause schizophrenia? My mother-in-law still denies that my husband has schizophrenia (she said it was a wrong diagnosis), how often are people wrongly diagnosed with schizophrenia. Plus he has been off the meds for almost a year now and is still having memory lapses and rambling. So is this schizophrenia or just drug induced symptoms?
The best person to answer these questions is your husband’s psychiatrist. Mother- in- laws can be rather annoying.
