OnTrack looks like an ambitious program. I can’t imagine it hurts to surround a sufferer like Kevin in the sort of “blanket” of care as described in this article, even if it’s only for a couple years. That’s actually a lot of intervention.
Given his diagnosis, pursuing a graduate degree seems like pushing the envelope. Adding a wild amount of stress.
It would be interesting to catch up with him in five, ten, fifteen years. Especially if he has people who even occasionally reinforce some of the cognitive techniques the program taught him. There may be a big payoff down the line from the foundation that the OnTrack program set down for him. I wish him well going going forward.
