Hi, thank you for asking. He will be discharged towards the end of next week. The phosp had wanted him to go on to another program but he does not want to go, so he will come home. He is on haldol injectable which seems to be helping. He is still quite delusional, but the paranoia and hallucinations stopped a week ago, so he is on the up, thankfully! I think his dx is SZA, but I will speak to the drs tomorrow. We have had SZ, SZA and extreme BP1 all dxd in the past two months. It is his second severe bout of psychosis. The last one lasted over three months. At least haldol is working.
Oh, sigh, I am glad that there is some improvement. I know what it is like to live with someone in constant psychosis, so hopefully he will continue on his meds once home.
