CBT for Psychosis - caregiver skills training (Canada)

CBT-p caregiver skills training
Foundation training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for those who care for persons with schizophrenia and psychosis

For the first time in Canada… a comprehensive training, facilitated by world-leading psychiatrist Dr. Douglas Turkington of the Insight UK team and presented by the Schizophrenia Society of Ontario. This two-day workshop will empower caregivers with ground-breaking practices from the field and give them the tools they need to provide the best support they can.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is an established treatment for many mental health issues and has been proven to improve the quality of life for those living with schizophrenia and psychosis.

Through an interactive format with direct coaching and demonstrations, participants will learn:

Key caring principals
Normalizing schizophrenia
Making sense of psychosis
Preventing relapse
Working with medication
Coping strategies

Participants of this two-day training will also have the exclusive opportunity to enroll in an advanced five-day interactive workshop.
