Wow! My son, 31, is almost doing the same thing! He messaged me early this morning and said there were weird old people appearing from his walls and coming into thin air…and I was so like–there is proof of him hallucinating. We have called 911 sooo many times…and he has displayed his “gibberish rambling” in front of police and mental hospital personnel – and over and over—“we can’t keep him unless he ‘voluntarily admits himself.’” We don’t know what else to do!! Our thought is–if it was “obvious his body was bleeding” he would be taken to a hospital and treated–whether he wanted treatment or not. But his mental status is “bleeding” yet no one can do anything!! What do we do?? I sooo feel like I have literally lost my son.
