Hi I’m writing this to say there is light at the end of the tunnel. I have just migrated here from
the “ people with schizophrenia “ section.
I have stuck to my first successful medication “sulpiride” since 1997. My last hospitalisation was in 2006. I’ve had no “positive “ symptoms ie delusions or hallucinations since then. I think the illness leads to a certain degree of post traumatic stress disorder, as psychosis is a very stressful experience.
I used to stigmatise myself but since I have now reached retirement age, I now feel it’s alright not to be employed.
