my schizophrenic/ Bipolar 19-yr daughter stop med and had to be involuntarily hospitalized. doc’s condition is until she willing take the meds she would not be discharged. when will it end?

I know it feels horrible, but you are also fortunate that you have a doctor involved who will not discharge while she is non-compliant. Many doctors would not do that - they may want to, but they have to do battle with the insurance companies.
when does it end? is that a serious question? it ends when she’s dead. with luck, you’ll be able to shuffle her into separate living by the time she’s 30.
thanks Nikki i anticipated a circle of non-compliance and hospitalization. cant i request the doc to discharge her even if she did not take meds voluntarily? how will it hurt my daughter?
