“Technology in Recovery by Those Living with Schizophrenia”,
a SAMHSA sponsored webinar presented by Mental Health America and NAMI, will take place Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 2:00pm Eastern Time.
Description: Technology has become increasingly important in the recovery process for those with mental health disorders. In particular, research is growing around programs focused on aspects of schizophrenia and related disorders that are not as well supported by traditional treatment, including cognitive skills, employment, and social skills. These evidence-based practices support individuals in developing meaningful roles in the community and in improving the management of physical and mental health. Panelists will discuss their programs, in addition to future development and expansion of the use of technology in the recovery process for individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia.
