We are having a very bad acute dystonic reaction…
Just administered two Benadryl 50mg total
She seems to be calming down now
But very scary…
This is really messed up…
I’m scared she may die if she keeps getting this acute dystonic reaction.
It makes me quite furious to be honest…
Does her insurance (medical) cover her to be in the hospital for the next few months or so until she can detox this shot…
She wants to quit her shot…
But we may go to the emergency hospital and potentially do something…
It’s too bad when your traumatized by the medical industry themselves
It’s hard to trust pill happy people who were careless with your life…
This drug may have broughten miracles to you…
But it has only brought hell to us…
She’s doing a lot better now after getting her Benadryl…
She’s resting now and the dystonia seems to be completely gone
We may just make sure she gets Benadryl every single day…
She doesn’t like how Benadryl makes her tired
She’s going to have to get used to it !
This is very stressful…
I wouldn’t wish this on anybody…
She’s such an amazing person!
I love her so much…
She doesn’t struggle with delusions or hallucinations anymore…
She just has this horrible akathasia and dystonia that is terrifying!
I am sorry that you two had to go through that… With reactions so severe you should talk about it with your psychiatrist as soon as possible.
How open is your p-doc to other alternatives? I mean it would be ideal if docs were open to all options to find what works best for us.

Cbd/thc ,Valeriano root tincture ,shilajit and up to 2 Benadryls!
Gets rid of it instantly!
We just have to be on top of making sure she gets the Benadryl in her…
I woke up this morning and read your first post. That must have been extremely frightening for both of you. I was happy to hear you found a perfect solution. I hope that others who have loved ones with dystonia will read about this combination. What a relief.

Hi @TheSunshineMaras . Please post which brands of CBD/THC, Valerian root tincture & shilajit you are using, if you would. My daughter’s p-doc did prescribe benedryl along with the anti-psychotic for her. I hope your partner gets through this terrible situation. I do not believe all p-docs are “pill happy”. It may be that a hospital visit would help her with the akathisia and dystonia. However, if your combo is working, that is just the best news!
My husband was just hospitalized Thursday for a stomach virus, and the two medicines and IVs he was given changed everything. I thought he was going to possibly die of severe dehydration but the medicine stopped the horrible vomiting and terrible weakness he endured for 5 days.
Glad to hear things are going better now…and that you found the right combo… what I meant earlier is that it would be ideal if doctors were more open to all kinds of options and not just the meds… and find out what works best for the individual client.
shilajit - that’s the only thing you mentioned that I have never heard of… I just googled it and saw all the benefits … I wonder what the difference between pure shilajit vs. shilajit extract?
Hello, I am sorry to hear that your loved one is suffering from akathasia and dystonia. My son has suffered from the same for the past eight years. He had dystonia pretty badly a few years ago. He saw a neurologist who advised him to lower his antipsychotic medication. That helped, but he still has blepharospasm. My son takes benadryl, however it does not help much. I hope in the future, that the pharmaceutical companies will find something to help with the secondary effects from pyschiatric medications.

You pay a price going on them and getting off them…

Even though the Benadryl is really useful
The dystonia still manages to seep through a little
I’m afraid of the Benadryl not working in the future…
We’ve seen videos of people using canabis oil to relieve there symptoms
We are doing a lot of it …
We hope this dystonia and akathasia is temporary…and will go in a year…

I have done some of my own research and it seems that the purer the shalijat is, the more potent… it is most potent in the resin form.
And it smells somewhat horrid earth a bit …
