I am a mom of two teenage sons. My older one, who is almost 20, suffers from schizophrenia. He was diagnosed two years ago at 18.
As a caregiver, mom of a schizophrenia patient, and a molecular biology scientist, I have created a facebook educational site about Schizophrenia, which I would like to share with you. The page explains the science behind schizophrenia for people with no science background, the latest research in the underlying causes, new discoveries and treatments, and shares positive impact stories and other useful information for better outcomes and for decreasing stigma in the society. The purpose of Schizophrenia Warriors is to advocate for people suffering from schizophrenia through education and raising awareness about this neurodevelopmental brain disorder. Perhaps it could be useful to some of you. I also welcome your thoughts and feedback.
