My husband has schizoaffective disorder. He rhinks he doesn’t have this mental illness and he stops taking his meds. Does anyone have any advice on how to get him to take his medication?

@babyblues my partner has told me that the MI tells him to stop taking the medication. I have watched him go straight into a full-blown psychosis on many occasions and stopping the meds causes this and he isn’t happy or doing well when he’s off them.
He also doesn’t want to be attached to Probate Court again. That must have been fun!
Don’t “reward bad behavior” is the only other thing I can think of for you to try. You’re not alone and you can get a lot of support and encouragement right here. All the best to you!
