It’s been over a week since my older sister has been crying almost daily. We don’t know what to do with her. Yesterday before she went on her walk, she locked herself in the bathroom and just cried at the top of her lungs. She was like that for an hour and then exited the bathroom and left the house like nothing happened. Not even ten minutes went by when I heard a knock on the door and thought it was my sister who probably forgot something but my gut was telling me that it wasn’t her because of the loud noise she made for the past week. So I peeked out of the window to see who it was and it was our lady neighbor. So, I immediately called my mom to tell her the news and I asked her if I should open it to which she said yes, but she left by the time I went back to the front door. Then I told her what should I say to her if she came back and my mom tried to find a good lie to tell this lady but ended up telling me to not answer if she came back. And then I got so frustrated at my mom telling her for the past two days to call a mental health crisis for my older sister because she won’t tell us what’s up with her and my mom tried cheering her up when she cried so out of control like this but nothing changes.
Are you in the usa?
Would you feel comfortable calling the crisis line yourself and asking for advice or your local mental health facility explaining the situation and asking their opinion
