I made this film in 2018 and it seems more relevant than ever. It is available on Amazon, iTunes and Kanopy. It was used in New York State as required viewing for those seeking their social work license.
The film ends realistically, but I am happy to report that my brother is living his best life for where he is at, despite having refused medication unless forced. Is it the life we would have chosen for him? Not in the least, but I think that was part of the problem to begin with. I hope you will take the time to watch it as a point of reference. It was a very difficult journey that is ongoing, obviously, but it has greatly improved.
