By the way! It sucked. Got diagnosed with HC and Indomethacin didnā€™t work, so I ended up having to go to the hospital two days ago and get the medical cocktail. No headache for 2 days now, but the palpitations were horrible. I dread having to go to the hospital again.

Iā€™m sorry it didnā€™t go so well! Iā€™ve been down with migraine for several days now AND had to ask my husband to leave bc it was getting to dangerous for him to be around my son. He left yesterday and the threats from my son towards my husband continue! My son is off his meds and he is getting worse every day! He is talking to people who are not there, says he can read our minds, demons and angels he commands, he has power. My nerves are shot!!

Itā€™s okay. Same, yesterday I had throbbing the whole day for some strange reason, left me immobilized every time. Iā€™m very sorry to hear that. Is there any way you could get him an emergency medication or supplements that could decrease the symptoms?

I wish! He is uncooperative! Says he is fine and refuses any psch meds or supplements of any kind. Said they would take his abilities away! :expressionless:

Try using logic with him. ā€œIf your abilities are genuine then the medications would not affect them. Sarcosine, for example, improves mental clarity. You would be able to see into the future more clearly and be more attuned with the dream world.ā€ Its reverse-psychology in a way.

Love that approach! Thank you! I will definitely give that a try!!

Anytime, glad to be of help. Hopefully he sees sense in it.

Nothing remotely logical works with my son when he is psychotic. He is too paranoid to listen to anything.

I understand completely! I liked the way @Doctor worded it. It just sounds more including and validating HIS reality without diminishing his ā€œabilityā€ to make his own decisions. Does that make sense?

I get that. I once told my fiancĆ©, ā€œI believe you. The voices are not real and the hallucinations are not real, but your experiences are real.ā€

This was my morning conversation with my son. He talked to he is dead friend And he indicated he was coming back. I said really how? Reincarnation he said. He thinks he is a Shaman and this was reinforced when he went to Costa Rica a few years back. He told me about a dream that he had last night.

We took a walk and he talked about what itā€™s like in his head and I told him I thought all of the visuals and heightened auditory and fractals he saw in high school that he described were actually early stages of schizophrenia.

He didnā€™t get defensive at all and I told him what I was seeing and asked him if that was what he was seeing? He didnā€™t answer. He asked me if Iā€™d watch Alex jones with him and I sat for a while until he changed it. We had a good day and he isnā€™t yelling as much. Thank God.
