Completely lost what to do

@DianeR, things have gotten better for me, as I’ve had time to accept what has happened to my now 23 year old son, and I have learned how to better manage my grief.

My son, on the other hand, remains highly symptomatic, with voices, delusions, and paranoia, even after 2 full years of Invega Sustenna’s highest dosage. He also has no motivation to do anything to improve the quality of his life, like a job, peer advocacy, play basketball, try Clozaril, etc… He just lays on the couch all day. It’s a shitty outcome. He’s so unlucky.

The only saving grace is that he mostly is not tormented by his voices. He’s generally a happy guy.

I sure understand the part about grief. My son sure isn’t living the life I would want for him and he has gained a lot of weight. It’s so very hard. I am sorry to hear about your son still having symptoms. I too have to go on that if he’s happy then I have to accept the way he is living. You aren’t alone in your grief.
