My son’s dad was to come visit him this past weekend, but he rescheduled. My son has now told him to cancel his reservation, tho it is based at least in part in my son’s delusional thinking regarding his dad. Last time he visited was May 2016, for 3 days. Prior to that it was a 3 day visit in 2013. No financial support.
My husband has little understanding or sympathy for my son, and I don’t have any family in the area. So I basically go it alone. I get emotional support from friends.
