My daughter was started on Invega in October during a hospitalization. For the first few days at home, she was pretty sleepy, and her mouth was hanging open a lot. Then she seemed to be doing fairly well for a couple of weeks. Then, BAM, 2 days ago it stopped working, and she became psychotic. My son was psychotic at the same time. It was pretty weird, and I almost called 911. In retrospect, I should have so they could both be inpatient right now. Sigh. Anyway, have you seen Invega wear off like that? Crisis team came last night and got a court order for involuntary commitment for my daughter. My son is in a hotel for a couple of days on no meds.

Yes, years ago one family said the Invega shot only lasted 3 weeks for their family member.
Interesting. The hospital psychiatrist is encouraging her to get another shot, but I don’t want her in the hospital every month.
