Hi sometimes when the get manic they will take money. My brother has SZA when very unwell took the woman he was living with gas electric bill money spent it on drink he is alcoholic as well.
When he well he would never take money like that.
Mania causes them to do things they wouldn’t normally do. Things they say not true is often to do with their illness delusions paranoia . Also their illness distorts the reality. Eg my younger brother kept calling the male social work the lady.
Was male. I asked him again he insisted was a lady.
My other brother kept on that my friend child was disturbed. I asked him what child did for him to say that. It’s the illness distorts their perception of reality.
