Has anyone had success paying a loved one with anosognosia to get monthly injectable???
My son’s first psychiatrist suggested I try to pay my son with anosognosia to take meds. Bribery is an acceptable means of dealing with anosognosia.
I was able to get him diagnosed by using bribery, so far it hasn’t worked with taking meds.
My son gets spending money based on his behavior. He also is aware that I stipulate he stay on his meds to remain living in a house I provide. He goes thru cycles of being angry that I ‘coerce’ him to take ‘headmeds’, but he keeps taking them.
