Schizophrenia is such an exasperating illness. When a schizophrenic is in an episode it seems to him that he is the reasonable party, and everyone else is being unreasonable. It is very hard to get that mindset to yield to reason. I told others on this site this - one thing that might help a little is to detach as much as you can from your husband’s behavior. Just ascribe his unreasonableness to an illness. You probably do that already, but if you can accentuate that approach it might help.
